In-patient care
Our department currently has a financing contract for 50 acute beds. Pursuant to relocations due to the supply needs of the COVID-19 pandemic, only 26 acute beds are currently functioning. We are already in the process of relocating and our financing will also be changed, so within two months we will be able to work in a 20-bed acute and a 20-bed rehabilitation department, which will be joined by a 10-bed day hospital capacity. In addition to traditional acute treatment, socio-therapeutic and educational forms, we are planning methodological development within the framework of a quality control and efficiency monitoring system. We are preparing to start employment rehabilitation, cognitive rehabilitation, nutritional and physical exercise intervention, neuromodulation treatment, metacognitive training, narrative group therapy, metacognitive training, and psychotherapy group therapy, as well as animal-assisted sessions.
Out-care care
Our outpatient care takes place in a renovated clinic. In addition to the doctors of the inpatient department, external specialists provide adult and child psychiatric care in the region. Unfortunately, there is no inpatient care for child and youth psychiatry at the hospital. There is no mental health out-patient center in the area, either. The social support of the patients is provided by the department’s social worker. We also hold several rehabilitation group sessions for our outpatients.
Special outpatient clinics
Sensitive Period special ambulance:
During the mental and behavioral disorders of late adolescence, we pay professional attention to the recognition of possible mental illness risk conditions and, with targeted interventions, shepherd the nervous system development of those seeking help back from the pathological path to the neurotypical direction. We examine and follow young people, using clinical, electrophysiological, laboratory, cognitive, and neurophenomenological methods. We base development support on specific dietary supplements, noninvasive neuromodulation, and individual, family, and group education.
Metabolic psychiatry special ambulance:
We are perhaps the first in our country to launch a special ambulance focusing on the targeted support of neuronal metabolism. In the pathogenesis of psychiatric disorders, disturbances in the energy balance of cells (at the mitochondrial level) are almost common. And this also closely links them to obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and some neurological diseases. At our clinic, under laboratory-based, instrumental and clinical control, we administer medical fasting treatment, ketogenic diet, and other dietary, lifestyle and nutritional supplement-based treatments, tailored for the individual patient. Our work is assisted by a hospital dietician. We also consider it our task to spread the brain metabolic approach in professional circles.
Stress special ambulance:
A ‘psychosomatic’ outpatient clinic for consultative care of patients treated in different in- or out-patient units of the hospital due to their physical disorders, who require psychiatric or psychological support at the same time. Somatic medicine is interwoven with the manifestation, pathogenetic or pathoplastic appearance of psychological factors (psychosomatic disorders, functional somatic disorders, somatoform disorders, etc.). This close connection is natural, since bodily functions are being organized by the nervous system and they are under mental influence, while the operations of our mind and consciousness are deeply embedded in our bodily functions. The stress-centered approach makes it easier for our clients to request mental help. In addition to the clinical and laboratory follow-up of various aspects of stress, we apply our multi-directional, psychosocial, nutritional, and pharmacotherapy interventions in a personalized way.
Screening
With the systematic school screening of those who do not seek help, we try to identify early signs of possible abnormal central nervous system development and redirect the development back to the neurotypical way in order to prevent and ward off mental illnesses.
