A few words about the class...
We are a department of an urban teaching hospital, and, in the absence of advanced imaging procedures, our research is based on a system of tools dictated by our capabilities.
In diagnostics, we use in-depth clinical observation (phenomenological and Leonhardian psychopathology in the light of the dominant DSM-BNO systems), detailed neuropsychological cognitive mapping, neurophenomenological (self-agency and time-experience) procedures, electrophysiological (EEG, eye-tracking, actigraphy) tools and we are constantly developing.
In therapy, in addition to individual and group psychotherapy, careful pharmacotherapy, and metabolic psychiatric interventions (fasting, ketogenic diet, PUFA, vitamins, and nutritional supplements), our most important and signature tools are the noninvasive device interventions (bio- and neurofeedback procedures, light therapy) as wel as our group therapy solution for the development of narrative identity. In addition, we also want to implement research-based improvements in the psychiatric rehabilitation tool system with the help of nutritional interventions, physical training, and training based on cognitive and smart tools.
The focus of our research activity is prevention, primarily the prevention of the development of serious mental syndromes.
